None of the content on this site is in any way produced with generative artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT and its ilk. The writing, the audio, the images, and any other types of content I post here are all produced by me the old-fashioned ways: hands on keyboard; peering through a camera; fingers on guitar strings, and so on.

The underlying code of this site is mostly produced by hand by me. That said, I did make light use of Claude Code to build out custom functions for optimizing images and audio handling, but I did have to clean up after it and massage its output to get it where I really needed it to be.

I am a cautious skeptic about generative AI tools. I have no interest in adding to the ever-expanding ocean of AI slop by generating something in seconds and publishing it as my own work.

However, there are situations in which they are useful tools for what I do. At times, I’ve used them to challenge, exercise, and clarify ideas which I’m working through. On rare occasions, I have also employed it as a mechanical Turk to do some grunt work in code, as I mentioned above. In those cases, I will always validate and massage what it spits out before publicly deploying anything it does.

If my usage of these tools changes in any substantive way, I’ll update this page accordingly.
